“My name is John and I’m a 30 year old Physiotherapist from Cascais, a little village in Portugal. I’ve loved riding since I was a young kid. Recently I have developed an interest in photography and video – my Brixton helps me explore these areas even more. I like adventure and wild places with cool landscapes. I’m always riding my motorcycle to get rid of the stress of everyday life.”
1. In one word, why do you ride a motorcycle?
2. What was it about Brixton Motorcycles that got your attention?
A friend of mine has a Felsberg and the style of the motorcycle caught my attention. As I like older bikes, I always had the idea of buying one for myself and this bike fit perfectly with what I wanted. This bike reminds me of the 125 bike I learnt to ride on.
3. What’s your favourite thing about your Felsberg 125?
I love the scrambler and retro style of this motorcycle that has very interesting technological details that make it unique. The fact that she lets me go down wrong paths is another thing I love about her.
4. How long have you been riding for?
Since I was 10 years old I rode off-road bikes, but after a long break I’ve decided to buy a motorcycle to take me on my daily commute and for trips around the country. So, in November 2020 I decided to buy my Brixton Felsberg. Since then, she’s done over 13000km.
5. How did you get into motorcycles?

6. What’s the craziest ride you’ve been on? Where do you plan on going next?
It was when I toured around Portugal in 10 days on the N2 route, a road that crosses the country from North to South. Seeing so many incredible landscapes in our little country was such an experience. The ride was 2100kms of adventure. I got lost on dirt roads and mountains, caught in rain and hail but my Brixton withstood everything and kept me smiling. I have nothing planned for what’s next, but I’ve several ideas of other beautiful roads around Portugal or maybe a visit to our Spanish neighbours through the regions Andalucia and Galicia.
7. The furthest from home you’ve ever been on your Brixton?
The furthest I’ve gone is to Chaves, 370km from my home. It’s a city in the North of the country where the national road N2 begins.
8. The most beautiful place you’ve been on your Brixton?
During the trip through Portugal I was in several beautiful places, but what I liked the most were thePortas de Montemuro, which has an incredible panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Closer to home I have the Serra de Sintra, which is an enchanted place where I like to spend a lot of time.
9. Would you rather ride on ocean roads or mountain passes?
I really like the mountain roads. Their curves make my heart beat faster. Fortunately, I live in a place that’s close to mountain and coastal roads so the sea’s beauty is always close by too.
10. The best place to run out of gas?
In the middle of a busy road with a good restaurant close by.
