“My name is Malgorzata. I am 49 years old and Polish, but have lived in Italy for 29 years. I have a 23-year-old son and live in the beautiful Marche coast. I work as a cook in a private villa, and love travel, sports, photography, good food and wine. Last year, on the advice of a very dear friend, I decided to get my first bike. We chose Brixton because it’s light, agile, snappy and easy to drive, making it perfect for a beginner like me. I feel like it ‘fits me perfectly’ and that together we’ll go a long way.”
1. In one word, why do you ride a motorcycle?
I ride a motorcycle because it makes me feel free. It relaxes me, distracts from everyday thoughts, and makes me smile and breathe deeply.
2. What was it about Brixton Motorcycles that got your attention?
I was attracted by its classic design, by the details and style that make it unique, and because it’s aggressive and trendy.
3. What Brixton are you riding? What’s your favourite thing about it?
I ride a Felsberg 250. I love the exhaust terminal with visible welding, the round headlight with Brixton logo, and the wooden insert on the tank with the wind rose.
4. How long have you been riding for?
I took my A2 test at the end of July 2020.
5. Why did you start riding?
I was going through a particular period of my life where I saw myself as ‘fragile’ and unmotivated as the certainty of life gradually crumbled. I saw the bike as a ‘salvation’, a way to prove to myself that I was wrong and that I could reach any goal. So I did – I enrolled in driving school, I took the bike and made my dream come true! A dream that made me invincible! I have set myself an ambitious goal that I have achieved and I am proud of myself!
I saw the bike as a ‘salvation’.
6. The furthest from home you’ve ever been on your Brixton?
The furthest place I’ve been on my Brixton is Castelluccio di Norcia, about a 250 km round trip.
7. The most beautiful place you’ve been on your Brixton?
The most beautiful place is undoubtedly the Castelluccio. It is a plain that in the short summer period turns into a carpet of vibrant colours. The flowering of lentils attracts tourists from all over the world.
8. Would you rather ride on ocean roads or mountain passes?
I prefer mountain passes … they will be my next goal!
9. The best place to run out of gas?
The best place to run out of petrol would be near a petrol station, just so I could refuel and continue my journey without a specific destination… just me and my baby!
