I’m Anthony. I’m 24 and I’m from Lyon, France. I fell in love with the Felsberg at the 2019 French trade show, Salon de la Moto, and acquired it in June.
Our itinerary was to go to Condrieu (excellent wine) / Mont Mézenc / Cascade du Ray Pic / Gorge de Borne / Balazuc / Pont d’Arc & Les gorges de L’Ardèche / Gorges de l’Eyrieux. My girlfriend and I spent three days exploring this stunning Ardèche region. We discovered the beauty of its ancient volcanic landscape, which includes panoramas, famous gorges and authentic old villages, such as Balazuc.
On our first night staying in the forest, we heard the cries of a deer. It was an incredible moment that I was lucky enough to capture on film. Thanks to the scrambler, we were able to go into the middle of the woods to enjoy the calm of the forest and spend the night around a small fire. What happiness, to fall asleep to the sound of deer.
What I love about road trips is the chance to explore new places and landscapes, and meet and discover local cultures. But above all, the freedom and independence that this kind of trip offers. This feeling of being able to go where you want and not to limit yourself to what you know, like the tarmac / classic roads.
Adventure is near you.
This summer promises to be busy! I plan to go to la Drôme, another region in France, with relatives who want to discover the road trip and the bivouac. Then Normandy and the Alpes (in Hautes Provence) with my Brixton and my camerawoman. My goal is to pass the permit this winter so as not to limit myself to France, then go and discover Iceland, Italy and other countries.
Before I got my Brixton, I used to travel on foot or by car over several days (Tour of Mont Blanc on foot, South-East by car). But the experiences are very different from those offered by the motorcycle. Since then, I have descended the Route des Grandes Alpes and participated in some winter seasons (Millevaches). Adventure is near you. Get started! Find a simple road that’s a bit lost or isolated, go for it, it can be the first step. The rest you’ll find on the open road.
