Rider of the month: Jorge

“My name is Jorge, I am 29 years old and I am from Zaragoza, Spain. The Brixton Rayburn 125 is my first motorcycle and as soon as I saw it I loved it. I am a professional soldier in the Spanish Air Force and in addition I am passionate about military history. That is why I have decorated my Rayburn 125 as if it were a motorcycle from the 40s but with current technology. I enjoy it doing routes through Spain on national roads together with friends.”

1. Which Brixton do you ride? What do you like best about it?

I’m riding a Rayburn 125. What I like most about the motorcycle is the vintage aesthetic, as it reminds me of the 1940s. I have personalized it with military objects that could be seen on the motorcycles of those years in Europe with a special detail as a tribute to the American 2nd armored division that fought in the Ardennes and its motto was “Hell on Wheels” I like the logo and that is why I wear it on my motorcycle.

2. How long have you been riding a motorcycle?

I’ve been riding my motorcycle for two years now.

3. What is the perfect weather for you to ride?

The best weather for a great ride is sunshine and no wind.

4. Which accessories are indispensable for you on the motorcycle?

I see a need for a briefcase like the one I have installed in my Rayburn, in my case military ammunition case to carry the papers inside as well as objects necessary for road safety such as reflective vest, gloves, water, cable to charge the phone…

5. Why did you decide on this model?

Because of the vintage aesthetic. As I saw it I knew how I wanted to personalize it. I like to enjoy the landscape riding without rushing, taking a good ride and always safely on the road.

6. What was the most dangerous situation when riding your motorcycle?

It can often be very dangerous if you want to overtake a large vehicle as you have a poor view, which can quickly lead to an accident. The wet road is also very dangerous on rainy days, so you should always drive carefully.

7. Who is your favourite motorcycle buddy and why?

My best companion is my girlfriend, because she loves being able to ride in the back seat and get to my destination without having to look for a parking space.

8. How often do you get to ride your motorcycle?

I use the motorcycle to go to work every day and on weekends when the weather is good and you can plan a great route.

9. Where do you ride your Brixton in your free time?

I use my Brixton to ride routes through Spain and into the city center. The Rayburn 125 is very eye-catching and people often ask me about the make and model name. I also take it on my trailer into the mountains in the north of Aragon, in the province of Huesca.

10. What was the most beautiful place you explored with your Brixton?

The Aragonese Pyrenees. There are many curvy roads surrounded by pine trees and wildlife.
