My name is Benjamin, I am 20 years old and come from Berlin. I work as a civil servant. In my free time, I love to be out and about on two wheels – motorcycling is my great passion. I have been riding motorcycles for four years and bought my Brixton Crossfire 500X a year ago, on which I have already covered around 7.000 km.

What motorcycle hacks would you have liked to know earlier?

•  Always take chain spray with you
• Earplugs protect your hearing and make riding more relaxed.
• Waterproof zip bags keep your mobile phone and papers dry.

Are you team ‘on the go all day’ or do you prefer short distances?

Definitely Team ‘On the road all day’. I love sitting on my bike for hours on end. When I’m on a new road, I just turn off spontaneously and let myself be surprised where it takes me.

Why Brixton?

I came across Brixton through a friend who owned a Cromwell 125 at the time and now also rides a Crossfire 500X. I just love the retro scrambler style and was looking for a versatile motorcycle that would be fun to ride on winding country roads as well as on field and forest tracks.

If you could choose a new colour for your bike, what would it be?

I love the silver tank and think it suits my bike best, but I think it would also look really cool in blue or yellow.

How does riding a motorcycle make you feel?

For me, riding a motorcycle is pure freedom. As soon as the engine starts and I feel the wind in my hair, I completely forget about everyday life.

What would you like to change about your Brixton? Have you already changed anything?

Not yet. But I definitely want to install a radiator guard and a skid plate like on the XC to make it a bit more off-road capable, and a bracket for side bags for my planned longer tours to Austria and Italy.
