Rider of the month: Arianna

I’m Arianna, come from Catania, a vibrant city on the island of Sicily, Italy. Surrounded by the sea, it’s the perfect playground for adventures on two wheels. I’m 27 years old and at the moment it’s just me, my helmet and the road! I ride a Brixton Crossfire 125 XS, my very first motorcycle, and we’ve been inseparable for a year now. As an architect, I’m also drawn to anything creative: Painting, sketching, designing – anything that allows me to express my vision.

What makes your Crossfire 125 XS so irresistible to you?

What I love most about this Brixton is its versatility: whether I’m enjoying a winding ride through the mountains or a relaxed trip to the coast, the Crossfire 125XS always feels right. It’s compact, scrambler-style, yet looks bold and aggressive just the way it is.

If your Brixton could talk – what would it say about your riding style?

She’d probably sigh and say, ‘Oh, here we go again…’ because I’m always pushing it to her limits. But deep down, my Brixton enjoys every ride. We’re always together, and even if we’re not the fastest on the road, we definitely have the most fun.

How did you get into motorcycling?

I discovered the world of motorcycles almost by chance, fuelled by a deep desire to discover new challenges. Besides my passion for motorcycling, I love discovering hidden corners of Sicily, be it quiet mountain roads or new coastal routes.

Do you prefer it during the week, at the weekend or on tour?

I use my Brixton every day to get to work, but the real thrill comes at the weekends. That’s when I hit the road and let my Crossfire take me on spontaneous trips around the island. The freedom, the scenery, it’s a kind of magic that’s hard to put into words.

If your Crossfire 125 XS was an emoji – which one would it be and why?

If my motorcycle was an emoji, it would definitely be the smiling face with sunglasses 😎. It’s always ready for new adventures and is fully behind my crazy ideas, especially when I have a rucksack strapped on!

Do you have any female motorcycle friends?

I recently met a girl who rides a Scrambler and we are already planning a tour of the region, I’m really looking forward to it! Nevertheless, I would like to have more female motorcyclists around me.

What does ‘freedom on two wheels’ mean to you?

For me, freedom on two wheels is an autumn day painted in earth and rust. It’s those moments when I’m free to explore the roads of my homeland with only one certainty – studded tyres underneath me and pure joy in my soul. Every twist of the throttle is an adventure, and every kilometre is a love letter to the wilderness.

If you had a tattoo for your Brixton – what would it be and where would it go?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while because I’m planning to get a tattoo inspired by my Brixton. As it’s my very first motorcycle, it has a special place in my heart. The design would be based on the Brixton compass, because for me it points to the road that leads straight to my soul. I would put it on my forearm so I can always see it and be reminded of where the journey began and where it should lead.

What inspired you to learn to ride a motorcycles as a woman?

I was driven by a mixture of curiosity, independence and a need to break out of certain stereotypes. I’ve always been interested in motorcycling, but I didn’t know any other women who rode motorcycles, and that made me feel like maybe it wasn’t for me. But over time, this hesitation turned into motivation.
When a dealer told me that I could order the Crossfire 125 XS, everything suddenly felt real. From the first ride, I understood that riding a motorcycle is not about gender, but about passion, self-confidence and the courage to follow what makes you feel truly alive.
